Sažetak
This paper presents the new mosquito repellents applied on white cotton/PET fabric pretreated with plasma and processed with Immortelle essential oil and water glass. These compounds have a wide application in other areas like skin care (Immortelle oil) or stabilizing hydrogen peroxide in textile bleaching (water glass). Plasma pretreatment on textiles and other polymeric materials changes their surface properties and enables further coating processes without changing the intrinsic bulk. Here plasma activation with oxygen and carbon coating of cotton/ PET fabric followed with Immortelle oil and water glass - impregnation by Pad-Dry method resulted with enhanced repellent results.
