Sažetak
The Apostolic Letter Novo Millennio Ineunte proves that a mature document may explicitly call the whole Church to live the spirituality of communion going towards sanctity. For us, this is the reason why saint John Paul II presents himself as an example of priestly spirituality. Carry the others towards Christ. We have realized that the John Paul II’s concept “spirituality of communion” matches the spirituality of the Church. The authentic spirituality of a priest expresses itself in three dimensions: the ecclesiastic dimension, the community dimension and the personal dimension. There is no doubt that the personal dimension is essential ; a lack of the personal dimension excludes the presence of the other two dimensions.2. John Paul II lived the priesthood and the pontificate with God, entrusting himself to God, to His mercy, with the help of God’s force and love, believing in the impossible, loving the enemies and the persecutors, forgiving the evil and the violence. The life of saint John Paul II will always be, for the priests of today and tomorrow, an example of love for priesthood. As a matter of fact, without that love it is impossible to achieve sanctity, first commitment to any baptized.
