Sažetak
Culture is always presented in a speech act as a component of a communicational situation, as mutually shared background knowledge. In indirect speech acts the speaker communicates to the hearer more than he actually says, by way of relying on their mutually shared background information, together with the general powers of rationality. There are differences in indirect speech forms from one culture to another.
