Sažetak
In this contribution a short insight into the organisation and activities of project RED - Roman Economy in Dalmatia: production, distribution and demand in the light of pottery workshops (IP-11-2013-3973, HRZZ) is given, illustrating its interdisciplinary approach to pottery and ceramics production in the coastal area of Roman Province of Dalmatia. Results of the work on the project is summarised and interpreted, with a partivular focus on the area of Liburnia, the northernmost region of the province. The results obtained through various analyses allowed us to place the pottery production within a wider discussion on economy, rural landscape and settlement organisation as well as understanding of the production itself, its organisation and its role within the economy of the estate. Finally, the authors propose a reconstruction of the regional foodstuff output, while outlining possible future lines of research.
