Highlights: - Significant millet consumption in Lika as early as Middle Bronze Age, ca. 1400 BCE - Bayesian mixing-model shows millet important part of diet regardless of age, sex. - Consumption levels of millet remain similar for over a millennium. - Millet cultivation a risk-buffering adaptation to unpredictable Lika environment.
