Sažetak
The aspects of the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union can be considered from a number of aspects. The most important of them are: (1) static and dynamic aspects; (2) micro and macro aspects; (3) direct and indirect aspects; (4) external and internal aspects; (5) quantitative and qualitative aspects. As the European Union is the greatest trading power in the world and the most important foreign trade partner of Croatia, the great interest in understanding all aspects of the accession of Croatia to this integration is a natural phenomenon. The integration is not without expense. The question is whether the cost of noninclusion into the EU is greater than that of the inclusion into it. Regardless of the amount of the cost of inclusion into the EU, the starting point taken is the working hypothesis that the cost of remaining not included into the Union is greater.
