Sažetak
Present global, and particularly European, energy and transportation systems are undergoing significant transformations, characterized by sharply increasing use of renewable energy sources, efforts in energy conservation and be-ginning of use of electric vehicles. Transition to renewable energy sources has already begun. Hydrogen, as a clean energy carrier, has great potential to contribute to this transition to a cleaner and sustainable energy system by addressing the energy, environmental and economic challenges that are facing the world. Hydrogen technologies may be used in a wide range of applications, and show great promise in the integration of intermittent renewable energy sources into the overall energy system.
