Sažetak
The technological sewing process requires that the operator works in sitting position whereby the operator uses his/her trunk and upper limbs to handle work pieces and the legs to regulate the stitch speed of the sewing machine. The paper deals with the work load of the worker while performing the technological operation of sleeve setting in a children’s T-shirt which is performed at the workplace equipped with the special sewing machine MAUSER SPECIAL 9652-134/04-233WH. The analysis of performing the technological operation using the RULA method with individual suboperations shows that the work is performed in forced posture of the trunk and the neck in anterior flexion with a considerable arm load (upper arm, forearm and hand) causing worker fatigue and reducing labour productivity. On the basis of the analysis it was proposed to redesign the existing workplace which would ensure a workplace with more favourable working postures and reduce work load.
