Concept of Nautical Tourism, Definition of Nautical Tourism
Sažetak
Nautical tourism is a kind of selective tourism, the phenomenon which has been significantly growing and recording high growth rates in the last twenty years. Dynamic development of the nautical tourism on the Mediterranean was to the present time rather neglected in science, leading to its vague understanding and definition. Strong nautical component within nautical tourism contributed to the chaos which prevailed in the scientific circles when defining and sorting out its subclasses. When defining nautical tourism, it is necessary to determine starting and crucial fundaments, which are to be found in legislation, unique classification of activities and statistics. Level of any country's development, that is, its legislation and administrative system greatly contribute to this procedure, i.e., its poor development contributes to its misconception. In order to develop nautical tourism systematically, every country must have clear understanding of its concept and determine its own development guidelines, depending on its natural and other resources and interests. This imposes the need to give clear definition and classification of the nautical tourism.
