Sažetak
Technology can be a powerful tool for transformation of education. It can aid in establishing and improving relationship between teachers and students, and enable the reintegration of the existing approaches to learning. It also helps in reduction of learning gaps, and adaptation of learning to personal experience that meets the needs of all students. Existing schools, educational communities, adult education centres and universities should be incubators of research and invention. Teachers should be collaborators in learning and seek new knowledge, continuously acquiring new skills for their students. However, educational technology initiatives pose certain risks. If initiatives focus too much on technology and are not convincing enough in improvement of learning and for the needs that improve learning and teaching, the research might show disappointing results. Transformative initiatives are the result of holistic efforts that lead to changes in professional teaching, curricular planning, assessment and evaluation, policy frameworks, and other things. In times of limited resources and competitive budget priorities, it is vitally important to provide investment in technology and contemporary science. The widespread use of modern educational technology is a very important sign of modernizing education. Education leaders should set a vision of creating learning experiences that provide the right tools and support for progress of all students.
