Sažetak
The chapter explores J. Kay's sequence of poems 'The Adoption Papers' where voices of birth mother, adoptive mother and transracial daughter are blended together. It focuses on how this poetic multi-voice representation tackles identity formation which is influenced by migration arguing that identities resulting from the 'zone of contact' raise many questions.
