Sažetak
The civil society, at least with respect to Europe, has finally become a conditio sine qua non of the European civilized society. With the totalitarian Communist regimes in the Balkans, Eastern Europe and Russia, the creating, establishing and developing of the civil society has initiated through the development of its factors and the adoption of the values of the civil society. Nowadays, in Europe there are civil societies developed in the Western European countries and the countries in transition which are still developing their form of the social, political and economic civil society. The Neoliberal ideology is ever more present and it serves as a guide for the culturological development of the society. Here the women's rights and gender equality represent the fundamental values of the society. They are not only an important factor of the civil society but, given the importance and depth of this issue, as well as it being up-to-date, have become the criterion of the development of a society. Within this system of relations and correlations, such as woman- business world-man, the concept of the "glass maze" has been developed containing a range of limitations and pitfalls, and particularly of prejudice, the women have been facing in the business world which is maledominated. Here the question arises as to the analysis of the „natural right“ of women, their actual success, from the perspective of the acquisition of knowledge and the participation in the society. Today, the participation of women in the society has been researched from several different aspects, especially in the domain of politics, and this research will be added to the few research papers in the field of Management. Therefore, the research question is raised as to whether the women participate in Management according to the rate of success achieved at the study programs they have completed. In order to provide an answer to this question, research will be carried out on a random sample, and specific conclusions will be drawn, i.e. the research hypothesis will be accepted or rejected. The afore-mentioned research regards the comparison of men and women in the top management, that is, it aims to explain the concept of the glass maze by means of the analysis and the comparison of the educational achievement and the participation in the company's management. Given the spatial limits of the research, the analysis of the structure of the maze will not be performed for now. When it comes to the management in Croatia, it is expected that there are no significant deviations between men and women in the management system in the companies in Croatia, because women have demonstrated their managerial capabilities.
