Sažetak
This paper presents the first record of Nemichthys scolopaceus leptocephali in the Adriatic Sea, including a detailed description of specimen, morphometric measurements and meristic counts. This species was not included in Adriatic ichthyofauna as to date, adults, eggs nor larvae have never been recorded in the Adriatic Sea. Therefore, the presented data gives us a good reason for further research in order to reveal more about distribution, spawning and nursery area of slender snipe eel and the mechanism of retention and dispersion of their larvae in the Adriatic.
