Sažetak
Ground surface roughness is very important in the exploitation of machine elements, particularly those which are in motion or dynamic relationships with other elements in a framework or machine. One should be very careful with grinding of machine elements with high dynamic loads, because of exertions concentration. In this case average arithmetical ground surface roughness should be as little as possible while, at the same time, the highest possible productivity is required in order for the production costs to be as low as possible. The extent of ground surface roughness depends on grinding elements as well as on the mode and conditions of grinding wheel cutting surface profiling. The paper examins optimal ground surface roughness at creep-feed straight peripheral grinding of the NIMONIC 80A material, with high porosity grinding wheel, profiled with a single diamond.
