Sažetak
The problem of surgical approach to the spinal canal, especially in operation of the intervertebral disc, has notyet been solved. In the literature we find different and sometimes even contradictory opinions concerning interhemilaminectomy, hemilaminectomy or complete laminectomy. This paper presents our work where we tried by strain analysis to determine the loading after the removal of the upper or lower part of the vertebral arch. Based on the results from mechanical tests and qualitative observations, we come to the conclusion that the most convenient approach to the canal is interhemilaminectoma. Hemilaminectomy and complete laminectomy equally disturb the biomechanics of the lumbar part of the spine.
