Sažetak
Experience higher levels of stress compared to families with children without disabilities (Delambo, et al, 2011 ; Lee, 2013). Having a child with disability requires more effort and involvement from parents (i.e. long term psychological therapies, medical treatments). Experience higher levels of emotional distress (Lecavalier, et al, 2006), depression (Benson, 2006), and social isolation (Pakenham, et al, 2004) and feel overwhelmed by the problems. Their stress is long term and may continue during adolescence and adult life, so this significally influence the family quality of life. Also, higher rate of breaking the relationships in parents who are younger, less educated and live in rural areas. Parents with lower education are more open and committed to each other. Ther is significant positive correlation between support received from partner and support provided to partner. Also results showed that ther is significant positive correlation between satisfaction with relationship and support received from and provided to partner. Also there are significant negative correlations between family income and support received from and provided to partner and satisfaction with relationship. Also there are significant negative correlations between conflict and support received from and provided to partner. For conclusion it could be emphasized that the quality of the relationship and satisfaction with it is an important base for the challenges of parenting child with disabilities (Hartley i sur., 2011) and to built resilience on stress. Satisfaction with marriage is related to experiencing support and acceptance from other family members. Also the greater mutual support of the partner is significantly associated with the smaller levels of conflict and higher satisfaction with relationship. Partners who receive a higher level of support have better communication and feel more attached and closed partner, and also more often provide the same support.
