Sažetak
Gymnastics is one of the basic sports and is characterized by a combination of motor skills and abilities. It is among the oldest forms of exercise and Olympic sports. In ancient times, women were not allowed to exercise or to watch sports events at the Olympics. At the Olympic Games in 1928, women competed at artistic gymnastics for the first time. The main goal of this thesis is to show the representation of women in the modern Olympic Games since the first performance in 1928 held in Amsterdam until today.
