Sažetak
This thesis presents an entire process of designing and developing an indoor positioning system which is capable to determine absolute and symbolic positions. In addition, the implemented solution uses the open source interoperability middleware symbIoTe to create an interoperable solution which is part of the symbIoTe ecosystem. The thesis includes seven chapters. The first chapter presents an overview and comparison of state-of-the art solutions for indoor positioning and relevant technologies. In the second chapter the technologies and techniques chosen to implement a symbIoTe-enabled indoor positioning solution are described. The third chapter introduces the architecture of the entire system, and in addition presents the design, used technologies and features of the main system components. In the following chapter we introduce use cases which are presented with a use case diagram and sequence diagrams. In the fifth chapter are include user instructions for the developed mobile application for indoor positioning and the web application for an administrator. Finally, we include test results performed in a trial location which investigate the accuracy of the implemented solution.
