Sažetak
Croatia is a mediterranean country recognizable all around the world for its indented coastline and islands. According to the UN convention , the Adriatic Sea belongs to Archipelagic Seas it is a distinguishing markenting symbol of Croatian tourisam and a comparative advantage in its development. This paper briefly outlines physical, geographical and hydrological characteristics of the Adriatic Sea as an archipelagic sea. In fact, this paper seeks to show that hydrological characteristics and meteorological features are suitable for nautical tourisam and sailing along the Croatian coast.
