Sažetak
Trends in modern road construction which mostly uses natural materials in construction process, emphasize the use of waste, alternative materials. Eastern Croatia, as a predominantly rural area, has a large quantity of agricultural biomass, and consequently biomass ashes produced by its incineration. Paper deals with the possibilities of biomass ash use in various segments of road construction as a recycling potential. Preliminary laboratory results on the application of agricultural biomass ashes for different segments of road construction will be presented. Preliminary results show potential for use in road construction, but also the need for more detailed research regarding the differences in ash characteristics depending on the biomass type.
