Sažetak
The main aim of the paper is to analyse the legal framework and integration measures directed towards the recognised refugees (persons granted international protection – both asylum and subsidiary or humanitarian protection) in the countries along the Balkan route of migrations (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia, and Serbia). The paper is structured in the four sections. In the second section main demographic and social features of the refugee population in the analysed countries are presented. The third section contains six country studies, presenting the legal framework of the integration of refugees and the main challenges in the practice. In the final part, the authors present concluding remarks.
