Sažetak
This paper present the management theory as „hard“ and „soft“ principles, and in this manner give proposals for future management theory development. The purpose is discussion of the divide theory by its „hard“ and „soft“ principle stream. Those managerial principles are discussed in two basic areas (actual and future ones): a) Principles in functional management area: general management, HRM, leadership (with job engagement and innovation management) ; organizational structures and b) Principles of future management theory improvement (managemet theory innovations) and their possible application in actual planning, organizing, HRM, leadership and controlling. It is used methodology of literature review, reflection and conceptualization. Major findings showed that in future integral management theory (which integrate „hard and soft“ management principles) should show how to effectively manage to achive techno-economic rationalization („hard“ mangement), how to effectivelly manage to achieve psycho-social rationalization („soft“ management) and finally how to find good balance of the both „hard and soft“ to achieve desired level of orgnization stablility and change/achieve organizational strategy. In such a manner are proposed solutions for some actual management problems (organizational hierarchy, organizational innovations and organizational discipline). Implications of this paper arise form the insight in the management theory problems so for management researchers give guidelines for future empirical research (testing some of the concepts and mentioned principles), for management theorists offer framework which can produce deeper discussions and new heuristics, for practicioners/managers offer „good“ theory which can be implemented in organizational life and in social sense (for social decision makers and for general public) implies the humanization and de-alienation of work by means of „soft“ management principles.
