Sažetak
Hornstein Tomić and Scholl-Schneider take a comparative look into processes of remigration to Croatia and the Czech Republic since the early 1990s until today. Based on narrative interviews with remigrants of both the first and second migrant generation who can be considered representatives of the respective knowledge elites the authors analyze various dimensions of re-integration and identification processes remigrants are passing through when coming ´home´. The Special attention is given to the challenges of adaptation to “the rules of the game” in the specific transformation environments, and chances to influence or change them discussed. By comparing the two different contexts of Croatia and the Czech Republic the authors convey a deeper understanding for the complexities of the return migration experience.
