Sažetak
The electric arc is an essential element which has to be analyzed and modeled in AC switching process. From the nineteenth century when it was studied for the first time, different methods have been developed for modeling and simulation of its behavior. It enables alternating current interruption in the natural zeros without special devices for synchronization, but it has a destructive effect on the lifetime of switching device. So, duration of electric arc must be time reduced to a minimum duration. In this paper, several simulations of Mayr arc model was carried out with a different phase shift of source voltage to observe the electric arc behavior.
