Sažetak
Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is broadly categorized into two groups: HPV- positive and HPV-negative tumors. The aim of this study is to find specific biomarkers, which could improve diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic methods in both groups. Epigenetic deregulation studies in cancer samples can offer such biomarkers. Therefore, we performed a whole-genome methylation and miRNA profiling in fresh tumor samples, and assessed survival analysis in archival and fresh tumor samples to obtain a clear picture of the disease development.
