Sažetak
The calculated stressdistribution in complex components of engineer structures with notches is strongly influenced by methods used. As a consequence the result of stress concentration factors a for equal problems with a small dimensions of the notched area compared with the dimension of the cross section in which the nominal normal stress was calculated, mentioned in the literature differ considerably. In this paper it is shown that the result of the calculation of a is not only influenced by the geometrical relations in the notches areas but also by Poisson´s ratio of the material. This is especially important by using the photoelastic stress freezing method for determining the state of stress in the notched area.
