Sažetak
Cyclic in-plane tests were performed on 1:2 scaled, single-storey, single-bay models of weak reinforced concrete frames with masonry infill. Deformations of masonry walls were evaluated using digital image correlation, which enabled quantitative and qualitative insights into out of plane displacements. Results imply that robustness of masonry infill units represents a major role in infill wall behavior and that the use of robust units could serve as an effective seismic strengthening method of RC frames. This was also implied by selected results of shake-table tests.
