Sažetak
The aim of the paper is to contribute to the discussion on the criteria of the use of exonyms by reviewing the latest proposed list of criteria and re-examining it from the Croatian viewpoint, i.e. by using the Croatian examples of exonym usage. Examples have been taken out from various sources (diplomatic documents, newspapers, lexicographical and cartographical editions, academic papers, linguistic reference books, etc.). It has been learned that these examples support most of the proposed criteria, but not all of them.
