Sažetak
The importance of collocations has been emphasised in the last few decades. However, most studies have dealt with collocations in general English and that is why this study emphasises collocations in business English. The emphasis is on upward collocations, that is, verb plus noun and adjective plus noun combinations. The aim of the study was to test the collocational competence of the first and second year business English students and to identify the aspect of collocations which require a special approach in teaching business English.
