Sažetak
Latin language in use in the Croatian parliament up to the year 1848 is taken into consideration beyond its usual image of traditional means of communication and token in political fights between Croatian and Hungarian diets. It is analysed and evaluated as a genuine element of the self-identification of the Croatian nobility, both in the context of personal identity of individual speekers and collective identity of the Croatian nobility as a political nation and beyond.
