Sažetak
The aim of this experiment was to determine if it is possible to produce button mushrooms using regular and Cac-ing method in the same space with satisfactory results.Main components in button mushroom production are the button mushroom compost and the 5cm thick casing soil layer that covers compost. Mushroom compost is made of wheat straw that is inoculated by button mushroom mycelium. Cac-ing method is done by mixing mature compost into casing soil to speed up the beginning of the harvest.Another way is to add casing spawn. It was possible to produce mushrooms in the same area using the usual and Cac-ing method, but because of the crucial influence of the CO2 concentration in the primordium formation and development, harvest did not start 4-5 days sooner and actually that was the main reason for conducting this experiment.
