Sažetak
Contemporary discussions about democracy exhibit a growing awareness about the necessity of justifying it – in addition to traditional political justification - from an epistemological perspective, on the basis of its potential to produce epistemically valuable decisions. Recent debates about the social desirability of particular social practices and institutions, increasingly present in social epistemology, philosophy of politics and philosophy of science, have proven eager to treat their epistemic features and contributions as inherently valuable – akin to the value ascribed to ethical and just social practices and institutions.
