Sažetak
Building Information Modelling is one of the most progressive technology in construction industry. Building information modelling represents creating and data managing process in the lifecycle of buildings. This area is often also addressed in the scientific sphere. Several surveys are currently focused on the use of BIM technology. The exploitation of BIM technology in practice is closely interconnected with implementation of the BIM tool in the education process at the faculties of civil engineering. In education, BIM provides development of students’ critical way of thinking and enables them to understand the complexity of the construction industry. This study discusses issue of BIM implementation in education process in Croatia and Slovakia. Aim of research is to give overview of BIM education process and usage of BIM software in field of construction management at the Technical university of Košice, Faculty of civil engineering and University of Zagreb, Faculty of civil engineering. This comparison should be brings another research questions and research areas about topic of BIM in education process and practice. The results of the survey should point to a better understanding of the issues and the current state of BIM in the educational process in the field of construction management.
