Sažetak
The paper distinguishes three broad approaches to stability and prosperity to South-East European (SEE) region: regional cooperation/integration, international financial involvement and the process of integration into the EU. It explores the extent to which the preconditions for regional economic cooperation exist in the region, and tries to answer the question of whether increased intra-regional trade as such could provide a sufficient stimulus for growth and prosperity. Within this context, the position of Croatia is analysed.
