Sažetak
Hyperkinetic disorder is the most common neurobehavioral disorder in the infant and is often associated with comorbidity with other disorders. With this paper, we would like to emphasize the importance of recognition and identification of rare malformations in childhood. Hyperkinetic disorders include impulsivity, attention deficit and hyperactivity, which have a chronic course and may vary in intensity. Agenesis of corpus callosum can be diagnosed as an isolated syndrome or may occur with other developmental disorders of brain or extracerebral malformations. The clinical presentation of agenesis of the corpus callosum can vary, and often is associated with cognitive difficulties and epilepsy. We present the case of a six-year-old boy with a hyperkinetic disorder, difficulty in pronunciation and sensory motor integration. After birth, neuropediatric evaluation found enlarged brain chambers and agenesis corpus callosum. He shows impulsivity, psychomotor anxiety, problems with concentration and attention in interactions with other children in the kindergarten. Before starting a school, he was sent to a psychiatrist's examination due to delay. During psychiatric evaluation, hyperkinetic disorder was diagnosed. In patients with agenesis corpus callosum the accompanying psychiatric disorders can vary and can manifest as hyperkinetic disorder, express with various clinical symptoms or may be even asymptomatic. Thus, it is important to diagnose and give therapeutic guidelines for children with rare malformation syndromes with the aim of starting early treatment and give appropriate information and support for the parents.
