Sažetak
In the era of today’s digitised and saturated global movements and economy, a modern tourist is more than ever faced with a wide range of offers in a tourist sector and is characterised by a constant research of the new and attractive ways of passing a vacation on one hand and, on the other, is being constantly tempted by one insisting tourist offer on a huge global platform. That particular fact puts an onus on a tourist destination with all its participants or stakeholders, from hoteliers, managers, tourist boards, local entrepreneurs, educational institutions to even simply the inhabitants of a community itself. Their common goal should be a constant investment in a tourist offer, but not just in terms of improvements in the materialistic exterior, which is welcomed, especially if that means stimulating the preservation of the old and traditional looks of our cities and towns, but mostly in the investment in education of all the members of the tourist destination and improvement of human approach based on collaboration, tradition, culture and the confirmation of the destination’s identity through tourism.
