Sažetak
This paper proposes the optimization procedure for scheduling and allocation of regulating capacities in systems with a large share of generation from Wind Power Plants (WPPs). The objective function is set to minimize the transmission losses with optional correction according to the economic criteria. Furthermore, it is presented how the geographical dispersion of WPPs and regulating capacities effect transmission losses. The computations were carried out on the standard test network RTS 96 and on the Croatian transmission network for concentrated and more dispersed layout. The testing results indicate reduction of transmission losses in all the discussed cases. However, the reductions were more significant when the layouts of WPPs and regulating capacities were more dispersed geographically. The qualitative analysis of the relevant economic features is introduced at the end.
