Sažetak
Our philologists share a common belief that the crucial differences in linguistic conception of the Protestant New Testament corpus (Glagolitic edition from 1562, 1563 ; Cyrillic edition from 1563) can be discerned between the Glagolitic edition (the first part having been printed in early 1562, the second part in 1563) and the Cyrillic one (1563). Specifically, by observing the proportion of Shtokavian elements (both lexical and phonemic/graphemic) as one of the key factors of the innovative linguistic conception, it has been noted that their number is highest in the first part of Glagolitic edition. At the same time, due to the less frequent presence of those elements and the greater devotion to Chakavian templates in general, Cyrillic edition bears a strong resemblance to the second part of Glagolitic edition. As a result, the caution is needed when it comes to interpretation of conceptual difference, having in mind the script of the aforementioned editions.
