Sažetak
The paper continues to discuss the problem of the proper term for the language of the Baška Tablet inscription. It also urges a different approach in the linguistic study of monuments created at the turn of the 11th century, from the study of the 13th century Croatian medieval texts which are usually observed through the lens of diglossia or triglossia. In order to determine to quality of the relationship between Old Church Slavonic and vernacular, we have used the comparison with the language of somewhat younger Charter of Ban Kulin (1189), the oldest monument of the Shtokavian branch of Croatian language.
