Sažetak
Univariate time-series models have been used to forecast demand in tourism. The ability of genetic programming for that task has been analysed in this paper. Genetic programming has some advantages when it is compared to some other forecasting methods. It is easy to use it and output function can be expressed as mathematic equation that can be easy converted to any programming language. In this paper genetic programming has been used to forecast demand and supply in tree Croatian counties. Those counties have been analysed because one of them has significant increase in the number of passengers in air traffic so it was interesting to investigate this phenomenon and to forecast future trends. GenXpro Tools 5.0 have been used for genetic programming.
