Sažetak
Economic crisis always opens opportunities for rethinking processes and methods in limited conditions, to think small but efficient and to create a valid foundation for prosperous times that will arrive. Dissociation between institutions and citizens, as well as separation of professions, due to their specialization, leads to general lack of consensus and understanding. With or without crises, city planning, and especially public space regeneration lack the culture of togetherness and participation. That was the main motif for “City Acupuncture” initiative developed in Croatian context: small interventions in city quarters’ public spaces through interdisciplinary and participative process. The lecture will explain the “City Acupuncture” methodology in theory as well as illustrate it with practical examples thus opening the space for questions and discussion.
