Sažetak
The aim of this stady ws to investigate the effects of internal contamination with a lethal level of bone-seeking isotopes 32^P - 333 MBq per kilogram of body mass - on mineral metabolism and alkaline phosphatase activity for detecting demage causd by 32^P on the organism of chickens. Experiments were carried out on fifty-days-old hybrid chickens of the "jata" breed of both sexes. The concentration of calcium, magnesium and inorganic phosphorus, as well as the activity of alkaline phosphatase, were determined in blood plasma of chickens. Obtained results showed the following: 1) magnesium concentration was significantly reduced on the first and seventh days after contamination ; 2) two significant drops of calcium values on the first and third days after contamination ; 3) phosphorus concentration was significantly reduced on the seventh day, and 4) alkaline phosphatase activity was significantly increased on the first day after injection of 32^P.
