Sažetak
The electrochemical behaviors of carbon paste electrodes, modified with different amounts of ternary sulphides (three different sulphides deposited at various condition), has been tested in order to determine L-cysteine by electrochemical techniques. Electrochemical processes on these modified electrodes indicate possibility of indirect determination of L-cysteine based on formation of the stable complexes of L-cysteine and metal ions released from ternary sulphides. The measurements have been conducted at two pH values (pH 5 and 7). Based on obtained preliminary results, square wave voltammetry (SWV) (both, anodic and cathodic) have been chosen as appropriate analytical tool for electrochemical determination of L-cysteine. The best results were obtained with electrode modified with 5% of ternary sulphide that contains traces of elementary silver proved by XRD analysis. The effect of various parameters on the electroanalytical signal such as: amount of electroactive material, frequency, amplitude, step potential have been investigated. Results indicate that the processes are controlled by diffusion or/and adsorption. Electrode with optimum composition (5% of modificator) show satisfactory sensibility for anodic processes at 10 Hz of 20 μA μmol-1 dm3, with the linear range from 0.1 to 1 μmol dm-3. The detection limit, determined by 3σ method was 0.0025 μmol dm-3.
