Sažetak
Entrepreneurship in sport, as a process of investing the resources, in this case, in the Business sport-specific operations with the goal of realising certain effects is a concept more and more frequently applied in sports. As a basic prerequisite for the application of entrepreneurship in a certain domain, the profitability of this application is emphasized, and this has been undoubtedly proven in sport. On the basis of the aspects previously listed and discussed it may be concluded that sport is a business activity that enables various types of entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurship is, at the same time, a factor of the development of sport. The profitability of sport is particularly expressed if the sports programmes are combined with its complementary activities, which was shown at the example of the analysis of an entrepreneurial golf-oriented programme in Croatian tourism. Nowadays, golf has become an inevitable and an indispensable part of the tourist offer, not only in the European countries, but also all over the world. Tourist trips motivated by the possibility of playing golf are on the rise in the leading tourist generating countries in the world, and the market analysis of golf-related demand shows a huge number of players in the leading tourist generating regions in Croatia. Taking into account the previous discussion, it may be said that Croatia, as a tourist receiving country, must incorporate golf-related offer in its developmental plans, not only because of the reason of falling behind other competitive European countries, but because of meeting optimally the contemporary tourist needs. Still, the construction of golf-specific facilities together with the accompanying infrastructure should be preceded by an accurate and well-argumented developmental studies dealing with the market, economic, ecological and all other parameters that will help determine the economic efficacy of the project. On the basis of these criteria it is possible to expect the entrepreneurs/investors into this profitable domain.
