Sažetak
Although fabric InkJet printing has demonstrated positive properties over the customary textile printing methods, certain technical barriers are still limiting a wide spread usage of Ink Jet technology in textile printing. In this paper some problems and specifics of InkJet printing on dark garment will be examined. Two sorts of dark coloured textile substrates characterized with different surface and constructional characteristics were tested (dark coloured cotton knitting and plain fabric), and were printed with white pigment as well as coloured pigment layer in different settings. Although it is already known that pigment based InkJet inks contain certain amount of polymer micro-emulsion acting as binding agents, certain problems occurs while bonding the white pigment with textile substrate and additional fabric coating with binding agents is required, which will be examined in this paper. The SEM and spectrophotometric analyses has been performed.
