Sažetak
This presentation will address how to further develop ‘think tanks’ in a globalized world with special reference to the “Belt and Road”. Namely, the issues that arise are very much connected to the processes of globalization on the one hand and national priorities on the other. ‘Think tanks’ by their nature are ideal ways of bringing together these, at first glance, challenging oppositions. The development of especially multi- and transdisciplinarity in research but also in higher education can provide a good basis for bridging these differences. Multi- and transdisciplinarity can also be seen as a way of boosting ‘think tanks’ since their main objective is, for instance, developing better cooperation in the “Belt and Road”.
