Sažetak
The Zagreb alcohol school, developed by Hudolin and his associates, managed to mantain the continuity of work, and masses of clubs even after the 1990s. Integration od institutional and non- institutional treatment programs, insistence on the somatic, psychoilogfical, social and spiritual devalopment plan of personality as well as the effort invested in network mainenance kept Croatian alcohology vital, raising it vto a pedesteal and preserving the integrity of the biopsychosocial approach to treatment and rehabilitation of addicts. Social psychiatry in the nineties survived through alcohology, and today it representants the nucleus for the development of psychiatry in the community. Nevertheless, the Zagreb school of Alcohology is open to reviewing performance based on work evaluation and monitoring of contemporary world experiences in the field of alcohol-related disorders and problems.
