Sažetak
Revolutionary development of transport and communication systems in the 20th century has enabled the present globalisation of human activities. At the same time numerous problems and limitations have emerged which with the existing and future technologies present predictable and unpredictable challenges both to our generation and the future ones in the 21st century. This paper discusses some essential challenges to transport strategy and policy in the relation: World - Europe - Mediterranean - Croatia at the beginning of the 21st Century.
