Sažetak
On male socks are placed high demands of usage durability and comfort. In addition to other production requirements, it is very important to harmonize and select yarns for their production. Therefore, properties of fine male socks, made of high content of cotton in full plating by yarns of different composition (polyamide 6.6, Lycra/ cotton, Lycra/polyamide 6.6) were compared in this paper. By applying the proposed methodology for evaluation of usage quality of socks according to the standardized test methods were analysed the influence of composition, tensile strength and elongation of the applied plating yarns on the usage durability and thermal comfort of three groups of male socks. It was carried out the testing of dimensional stability of socks ; coluor fastness to washing, alkaline and acid perspiration, dry and wet rubbing ; propensity to surface pilling and abrasion resistance, as well as testing of thermal comfort of socks on the thermal foot.
