Sažetak
Nearly zero energy standard (nZES) represent the solution for better energy efficiency, CO2 emissions and load energy reduction. This paper represents proposal for achieving the nZES for the building of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology (FERIT) Osijek in Croatia. Based on existing measurements database developed in the Laboratory for Renewable Energy Sources, irradiance data for the micro-location of FERIT Osijek will be used for the energy production estimation of existing PV system installed on the roof of FERIT Osijek. Since the existing photovoltaic (PV) system is not enough for achieving nZES, additional renewable energy sources will be added into the building’s microgrid (MG) in order to cover the load of the building and to achieve the nZES. Four objective functions (OF) are simulated on the proposed MG and results are analysed in the HOMER software. Examined OF are optimal cost- effective solution, nZEB with ideal utility, nZEB with real utility and islanded operation. Results show different levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) and different utilization of renewable energy sources depending on the OF.
